Several Midlands Bible College and Divinity School lecturers have helped found a brand new academic journal, the Evangelical Review of Society and Politics, to be launched within the next few weeks. This peer-reviewed journal, which features various well-known, international Christian academics on its editorial board, explores the interaction between Christianity and politics at a time when faith is moving firmly away from the private sphere into the public square. Evangelicals especially are becoming inceasingly involved in politics, and this journal provides an important international forum for such debate. Full details of the aims, contents of the first edition, and subscription information can be found at www.evangelicalreview.com. To subscribe, visit the college's online shop. |

The Midlands Bible College is currently working towards offering all its courses online. In other words, providing you have an internet connection, the whole learning experience will be available through your computer. Currently, we provide a great deal of online access and tutorial support, including an intranet containing theological resources, and also downloads of certain study materials. Yet most of the study packs are currently mailed to students in CD-Rom format. The disadvantages of such a system are obvious, for example, having to wait for postal deliveries, added administration (and therefore tuition) costs, and on the whole a slower distance learning experience. In a digital age, people are keen to progress at their own speed without having to wait for postal deliveries. |

We've introduced a new audio streaming facility, which contains Bible study recordings and samples of our audio studies available for instant download from the college's online shop To access these audio files, click on the "Streamed Audio Bible Studies" button on the menu to your left. Scroll through the audio files, select the one you want to listen to, and press the play button. This page contains complete studies as well as samples of items for sale as immediate downloads, allowing you to sample before buying. New items will be added regularly, while the complete audio recordings will change from time to time. We hope you enjoy this new facility and will tell others about it. |

The college is pleased to offer a brand new two-part series exploring the theology of Passover, which is now available as an instant download. This excellent, proactive study, presented from a Messianic-Jewish perspective by Jacob Prasch, traces the theological development of Paschal theology through its Judaic (Mosaic, Restorational, Exilic, Postexilic, and Intertestamental), Jewish-Christian (Jesus and the Apostolic period), Patristic, and Reformation stages. This superb study should not be missed by any serious Bible student. |

The college is organising another lecture tour of the British Museum on Saturday 24th March 2007 (11.15 am - 4 pm). As with the last two visits, the trip will be led by college lecturer Julian Spriggs, whose knowledge of the artefacts and their relevance to biblical history and background always ensures that trips are an excellent learning experience for all who take part. The British Museum houses many valuable artefacts of direct relevance to the Bible student, and it is well worth touring with someone who can discuss these issues in depth and relate them directly to the Bible. |
