Assignments submitted by our students earlier this academic year and marked by college staff have recently been returned by the University of Wales after moderation. Once more, student results were excellent, and university moderators continue to praise the Midlands Bible College for delivering high quality course content. Several students have produced some particularly outstanding pieces of work.
College Principal Dr Calvin Smith was very pleased with yet another successful term. He said: "This is good news, both for students and the college as a whole. I am regularly impressed by how our students demonstrate an ability to put aside their own presuppositions and engage with the subject matter to a high level. After the first module or two, students become far less tentative and begin to analyse and evaluate the subject matter and the views of theologians with relish. I have seen so many students transformed from their earliest days with us, so that they are equipped with substantial knowledge and good, solid evaluative skills. Another term of good results can only mnean excellent news all round."
College staff would like to congratulate all students for producing such good results. Our students come from all walks of life, and many are juggling family, work and church commitments while studying. Yet the flexibility of a distance-learning programme has really offered an opportunity for so many of these students to excel.
