Midlands Bible College is currently developing a super-website, which will bring you many new distance learning features. However, the huge size of the new site, together with our plans to install recently-acquired powerful new software, means we have to switch to our very own dedicated server. This major switchover is scheduled to take place over the next week.

Because we have a .ac.uk name, which is reserved for government-approved academic institutions, the switchover is all the more complicated and time-consuming. We have to work with a government-appointed agency, together with the old and new internt service providers, and as a result our website will experience some downtime during the next seven days. During this period, there will also be a great deal of testing. Therefore, please note that our website service will be affected throughout the week, as will some of our incoming and outgoing email.

Therefore, if there is information you need from the old student pages, it is best to retrieve it within the next day or two. Also, if you plan to place any orders over the internet, please do it within the next 24-36 hours, or else call us on 08700 421 704 and place your order over the `phone. (Important note: If you have an internet order accompanied by an error message saying the sale was not successful, do NOT click the button and order again. Check your email first to make sure the payment went through).

Please be assured we will work hard to ensure the transition goes as smoothly as possible. In the meantime, please bear with us as the switchover and new site is launched. In a very short time, students will begin to benefit from the new features, which will include regular news, a College blog, a whole new shopping and download capability, and additional study resources and tutor access.

We are excited about this new project. It has been an aim for some time and the past week has been one of intense and feverish activity as a number of us work on the new super-site. We are quite sure that once everything is up and running smoothly, students will ask why we did not do it sooner!
