On 18 October Midlands Bible College and Divinity School (now King's Evangelical Divinity School) held an all-day Israel seminar in Reading. (see here for details). This was a highly successful and well-attended event (over 150 attended), and further information about the programme, speakers and audio downloads now available for purchase from this site can be found at http://collegeblog.midbible.ac.uk/2008/10/dont-miss-the-extra-israel-seminar-and-these-audio-resources/.
It was always our plan to publish a conference volume in due course. Meanwhile, several speakers were unable to come on that day and deliver their papers, which explore Israel from different angles drawing on their particular areas of expertise. So successful was the seminar, with many people wanting a second teaching day, that we are pleased to announce a second Israel seminar will be held at the same Reading venue on Saturday 29 November, from 11 am to 5 pm, allowing us to deliver the remaining papers. Speakers include George Taylor, co-author with David Torrance of Israel God's Servant, published by Paternoster. The conference day will look at covenant in the Bible, Israel's treatment of Arab Christians, problems facing Messianic Jews in Israel today and how Christians ought to respond, and Paul's purpose for writing Romans.
Please note that, as before, places must be pre-booked by emailing us at admin(a)midbible.ac.uk. Simply indicate your name and how many people in your party. Also as before, we will not be levying a charge for the event but will take an offering to cover all costs and speakers' expenses (the recommended donation is £10 per person). Further details can be found on the attached flyer. |
