From time to time King's Evangelical Divinity School (formerly Midlands Bible College and Divinity School) organises interviews with well-known scholars on their current or past research and projects. Below is a list of interviews carried out to date. Click on a link for the full interview.

Interview With Professor John Wyatt
John Wyatt is Professor of Ethics &  Perinatology at University College London. He has lectured widely on issues in ethics from a Christian perspective and his most prominent book is Matters of life and death: Today's Healthcare Dilemmas in the Light of Christian Faith. In the following interview conducted by Andy Cheung, Professor Wyatt responds to some key questions in bioethics and related matters.

Interview With Derek Tidball
Revd Dr Derek Tidball is the former Principal of London School of Theology and has previously chaired various national Evangelical organisations, including serving as Vice President of the Evangelical Alliance (UK). He currently chairs the Alliance’s council. He is the author of Who Are the Evangelicals? Recently he gave an interview to KEDS concerning various matters relating to global Evangelicalism.

Interview with Eugene A. Nida
In this short e-mail discussion, Dr. Nida discusses a few points relating to his important theory of Bible translation, dynamic equivalence (aka functional equivalents). Dr. Nida has written numerous books relating to research on the translation of the Christian scriptures in missionary societies.

Interview with Calvin L. Smith
Calvin Smith, Principal of King's Evangelical Divinity School, researches and writes on the Church in Latin America, as well as speaking on and researching Christian responses to modern Israel and Christianity in the Holy Land. He edits the Evangelical Review of Society and Politics. His new book The Jews, Modern Israel and the New Supercessionism: Resources for Christians is set for release on 5 May. Here, the college interviews Dr Smith about his new book.

Interview with David Allen
David Allen is the Professor of Preaching and Director of the Southwestern Center for Expository Preaching. He is also the George W. Truett Chair of Ministry, and Dean of the School of Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has taught extensively on expository preaching and has two forthcoming books: Hebrews in the New American Commentary Series and also The Authorship of Hebrews: The Case for Luke.

Interview with George Guthrie
Dr. George Guthrie serves as the Benjamin W. Perry Professor of  Bible at Union University in Jackson, TN in the United States. He is the author of numerous articles and seven books, including, The Structure of Hebrews: A Textlinguistic Analysis, Biblical Greek Exegesis (Co-authored with J. Scott Duvall), the NIV Application Commentary on Hebrews, and the Illustrated Bible  Backgrounds Commentary on Hebrews. Dr. Guthrie holds both the Ph.D. and the M.Div. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Th.M. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Interview with Chris Wright
Chris Wright is a well-known pastor, theologian and also the International Director of the Langham Partnership. He has previously taught at Union Biblical Seminary and is the former principal of All Nations Christian College. His most recent work is The Mission of God: Unlocking the Bible's Grand Narrative.

Interview with Klyne Snodgrass
Klyne Snodgrass is the Paul W. Brandel Professor of New Testament Studies at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. His doctorate is from the University of St. Andrews and his dissertation was "The Christological Stone Testimonia in the New Testament." In this interview, Andy Cheung discusses with him his well-received work on the parables, Stories with Intent: A Comprehensive Guide to the Parables of Jesus which was published by Eerdmans in ealy 2008.

Interview With Tremper Longman III
Tremper Longman is the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies at Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California. He has written a number of major commentaries on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Daniel, and Nahum and is the coeditor of the Expositor's Bible Commentary. He has also written or edited various articles and books including An Introduction to the Old Testament, Old Testament Commentary Survey, and A Biblical History of Israel.

Interview with Walter Kaiser
Walter Kaiser is one of the leading Evangelical experts in the field of Hermeneutics, the area of Biblical Studies in which King's Evangelical Divinity School specialises. Recently, Andy Cheung from King's caught up with Dr Kaiser to discuss various issues associated with this leading scholar's current (and past) areas of interest, including the perennial (and thorny) issue of authorial intent!

Interview with Darrell L. Bock
Recently, Andy Cheung caught up with Darrell Bock, the well-known New Testament scholar, researcher and author based at Dallas Theological Seminary. During the interview, Andy asked Dr Bock about progressive dispensationalism, the DaVinci Code, the emerging church, and his writing and research projects.

Interview with William Kay
William Kay is Reader and Director of the Centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies at Bangor University, Wales. He has researched and written widely on the subject of Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies, a burgeoning field within theological departments which, by virtue of the movement's widespread growth over the past quarter-of-a-century, is widely studied by observers and insiders alike. In April King's Principal Calvin Smith spoke with Dr Kay concerning his research and latest book exploring the Restorationist movement in the UK.

Interview with Daniel B. Wallace
Daniel Wallace is professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and the director of the  Center For The Study of New Testament Manuscripts.  He is the author of many books including Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics: An Exegetical Syntax of New Testament Greek

Interview with Ben Witherington III
Ben Witherington is a well-known and prolific Biblical Studies scholar based at Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky. In this interview with Andy Cheung at King's Dr Witherington discusses his writing, theology, and outspoken views concerning the highly controversial James Ossuary, which has been the subject of wide coverage in, among others, the Biblical Archaeological Review.

Interview with Thomas R. Schreiner
Dr Tom Schreiner is Professor of New Testament Interpretation at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kentucky. The interview concerns his well-received book on New Testament Theology. Andy Cheung at King's caught up with him on for an interview.
